Operating Theatre Opening hours during the holidays 2023
The operating theatre is closed from 22 December and opens 3 January 2024

The total renovation of housing in the reception section should begin on the birthday. Surgery has been renewing itself from top to bottom for the past month.

The Civil Protection Emergency Level has been declared due to the coronavirus pandemic. There is a lot of staff at the hospital. At the request of the Icelandic Health Insurance, Skurðstofan ehf will close from January 18th for 2-3 weeks and employees will go to work at Landspítali University Hospital to ease operations there. All surgeries will be cancelled in the meantime. Those who will be out of action will be contacted with regard to the new date. Apologize for any inconvenience this may cause
